Senior Systems Analyst Job Requirements

The Senior Systems Analyst will function as a liaison between the Information Technology developmental team and business clients, gathering and defining requirements, co-coordinating design sessions, creating process/data flow diagrams and documenting project efforts. Working closely with the client, the Analyst will examine existing business models and flows of data, discuss their findings with the client, and design an appropriate improved IT solution. The Analyst will produce outline designs and costs of new systems, specifying the operations the system will perform, and the way data will be viewed by the end-user, present their design to the client and, once it is approved, work closely with the client team to implement the solution.

The Analyst will perform systems analyst tasks within established policies, procedures & guidelines. This team member must have the knowledge of Project Management fundamentals and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC). The Senior Systems Analyst must have the interviewing, facilitation, organizational, modeling and analytical skills necessary to deliver comprehensive requirements to the development staff that will be used to design the application model. Additional requirements include the ability to talk with individual and groups about their business needs and ask the right questions to develop essential requirements for the project.

Knowledge of Application development domain is a must for this team member and must be able to transform the business requirements into technical requirements and work closely with developers in developing the solution for the project. Senior Systems Analyst must work with the Project Manager and client to document the Project objective and scope.

    <li>Presenting proposals to clients</li>

    <li>Working closely with developers and a variety of end users to ensure technical compatibility and user satisfaction</li>

    <li>Ensuring that budgets are adhered to and deadlines met</li>

    <li>Drawing up a testing schedule for the complete system</li>

    <li>Overseeing the implementation of a new system</li>

    <li>Planning and working flexibly to a deadline</li>

    <li>Writing user manuals</li>

    <li>Providing training to users of a new system</li>

    <li>Keeping up to date with technical and industry developments</li>
