Traditionally, the 10th anniversary is the "tin anniversary." At Equis Staffing, we like to think we're made of stronger stuff – especially after weathering business challenges like the economic downturn in 2009. At the time we were only a few years old, in an industry that's intricately tied to the economy. That time was daunting for any young company, but with a dedicated staff and first-rate roster of clients, we managed to push through and have been able to reach the remarkable milestone of our 10th anniversary. We're sure there are more challenges to come over the next 10 years, but we're confident we can face them head-on because there is nothing more important to us than providing an exceptional experience to clients and candidates alike.
In this time of celebration, our very own President of Equis Staffing, Carrie Nebens, wanted to share her thoughts on Equis's 10th anniversary and the work our diligent staff has performed over the years.
Q: This year we celebrate Equis's 10th Anniversary. What thoughts and emotions come to mind when you think about that?
A: I am proud of the fact that we have helped thousands of employees and clients find their appropriate fit. Over the past ten years our little community at Equis Staffing has cultivated an excellent, hard working environment, which in turn has given us the ability to provide loyal and trustworthy service for our clients. It’s exciting that we have made it this far and I hope there are many years to come for our company.
Q: When you think about some of the defining moments over your time with Equis, what stands out?
A: In 2010 we started an IT division, which has allowed us to accommodate to the fast growing IT demand. We have matched many new employees through this division and continue to provide a painless process to both our candidates and clients.
Q: How has your vision for the company changed with the surge or technology over the past 10 years?
A: In the beginning our company focused only on finance and accounting, but as the years went by and Equis began to grow we quickly adapted to the new needs and demands of our clients. Our goal has always been to match the appropriate employee with their like company. I feel that as we have grown we have been able to meet the high demand for talented and hardworking individuals who benefit both our clients as well as Equis.
